Fire rated roller shutter doors are usually part of an overall fire and smoke control system designed to save lives and limit damage to particular areas. Our range of fire rated roller shutter doors are ideal for any application where the prevention of fire spreading is of paramount importance.

Fire rated roller shutter doors

Fire rated roller shutter doors are constructed from heavy duty materials and have many more fixings for the structure with slotted holes in all components to allow for expansion should the door catch fire.
Our commercial fire shutter is ideally suited for applications where the aesthetics of the door is required (reception areas, servery counters etc). This roller shutter door has a maximum of a 4hr fire rating. This roller shutter door is electrically operated via single phase 240 volts tube motor which requires a maintained supply. This is installed with a battery back-up in the event of a power failure under fire conditions. 

Our industrial fire shutter is used in applications where the doors are operated regularly (loading bays, warehouses, factory units etc). This shutter has a 4 hour fire rating and is usually supplied with a 3-phase 415 volts motor but can be supplied with single phase, 240 volts, industrial motor, if 3-phase is not available.

Safety compliant fire shutters

Each fire rated roller shutter door has been fully tested to comply with the CPR (Construction Products Regulation) EN13241-1:2003 + A1:2011. The UKAS accredited testing laboratory which conducts the tests also supplies us with a DoP (Declaration of Performance). Our doors are fully compliant to the machinery directive 98/37/EC.
